This circa 1990 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust ref. 16233 combines the classic two-tone steel and yellow gold Datejust profile with a more decorative aftermarket gem-set bezel. The white dial features black Roman numerals and diamond hour markers, creating strong contrast against the yellow gold accents of the case, crown, hands, and Jubilee bracelet center links.
The aftermarket bezel is set with round brilliant diamonds and accented by baguette rubies at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. The result is a more personalized and jewelry-forward interpretation of the classic Datejust, adding red and white gemstone detail around the traditional white Roman numeral dial.
The two-tone Jubilee bracelet gives the watch the classic Datejust look, with five-link construction and alternating stainless steel and 18K yellow gold center links.
